What a 24K Gold Foldable iPhone Actually Involves

Every commission starts with a genuine, unlocked Apple foldable purchased at retail. Nothing is cloned, reshelled or aftermarket. In our Dubai workshop, GoldPrivé removes only the original rear panel and replaces it with a new metal back plate made for the edition you choose. The frame, hinge, side buttons and both displays are not plated, opened or altered.

The new back plate is polished, cleaned and electroplated in genuine 24K Gold, Rose Gold or Platinum at 5–7 microns. The camera surround and Apple logo are finished to match, and any leather, Mother of Pearl, carbon fiber, diamonds or amulets are set into that plate before it is fitted.

This is where a foldable differs from a luxury 24K Gold iPhone 18 Pro Max. Hinge tolerances are measured in fractions of a millimetre, so the hinge is simply never touched: the Duo folds, holds its angles and closes flush exactly as Apple designed it. Every function works as normal, including Apple Pay and USB‑C charging. Wireless charging is the one variable: a metal back plate blocks it on most editions, although some Pearl Edition and Exotic Skin configurations keep it — our sales team confirms yours before you order.

Designing Across a Fold

The hardest part of a luxury foldable iPhone is not the gold. It is the composition. The back plate covers one half of the device, so every GoldPrivé design is drawn to look complete when the phone is closed in the hand and balanced when it lies open on the desk.

Inlaid materials follow the same discipline. Mother of Pearl, crocodile leather and carbon fiber sit inside a precious-metal border on the plate, and diamonds are set only on the back plate — in the Apple logo, across a band, along the plate edge or over the whole plate — never on the hinge or the closing faces.

Weight distribution matters too. Heavier treatments — dense pavé or an 18K solid gold amulet — are kept compact and centred on the plate so the phone still feels balanced in the hand.

The Gold iPhone Duo collection is organised by the material worked into the back plate, not by colour alone. Ultimate carries the signature GoldPrivé patterns and is the broadest line. Éclat is the diamond-set tier, and Evil Eye mounts protective amulets cast in 18K solid gold. Exotic Skin uses genuine crocodile leather, Pearl Edition genuine Mother of Pearl, and Carbon Craft genuine carbon fiber.

Every edition is offered in 24K Gold, Rose Gold and Platinum, across the full range of Apple storage capacities. Nothing is mass-produced: each unit is finished individually, and no two commissions with engraving or gemstone work are identical.

Bespoke Personalisation and Custom Commissions

Most clients personalise. Engraving is carried out on the back plate only — initials, a monogram, a family crest, a company mark, a date, an Arabic calligraphic line, or artwork supplied by the client.
