Imperium separates its two finishes instead of blending them. The backplate is platinum-plated aluminium, brushed to a flat, cool luminosity; running through its center is a sculpted column cast independently from 18K (750) solid gold, then set into the platinum surface rather than plated over it.

That column carries the actual gold value — its alternating polished and satin surfaces are built to catch light differently depending on where you're standing, closer to a piece of jewelry than a phone finish.
