The 24K Gold Segway, Still a Scooter
The 24K Gold Segway begins life as a working Ninebot KickScooter powered by Segway, tested before a single component is touched. GoldPrivé then hand-finishes the deck, frame, forks, hubs and mudguards in 24K gold, rose gold or platinum, and sets simulated diamonds down the stem, along both fork legs and in a band on each deck edge. None of that takes anything away from the machine. The 300W motor pulls inclines of up to 15 degrees, the regenerative front brake and rear step brake still stop it, and the frame still folds in one push. It is luxury applied to personal transport, not a model of it.
Simulated Diamonds, Stated Plainly
No wrap, no film, no printed pattern. Each stone is placed individually onto a finished gold surface, and the first Glide Royale took months of continuous artisan work to complete. The result is a surface that throws light from every angle as the scooter moves.
They are simulated diamonds, and GoldPrivé describes them as exactly that. At this density mined stones would carry a price nobody would ride out of the house, which would defeat the purpose of finishing a machine built to be used. Crystal colourways, a deck monogram and corporate liveries can be specified at commission.

Yes. The motor, brakes, lights and folding mechanism are all retained and tested; nothing is disabled to make the finish possible.
Are the diamonds genuine?
No. They are simulated diamonds, chosen for brilliance and precision setting, and GoldPrivé states that rather than implying mined stones.
Which surfaces carry the stones?
