Crest Gold Tie Clip: A Straight Line of Gold
Lean over a desk to sign a contract and a loose tie swings forward. The Crest Gold Tie Clip prevents that: a slim bar that slides over the tie and the shirt placket behind it, holding both so the knot and the length stay where you set them. It is also one of the few accessories visible from across a meeting table, which makes it an easy gift to notice. Worn a little below mid-chest, it should never reach past the edges of the tie, so it looks best on a standard or wider tie rather than a very skinny one.
Inside and Out, the Crest Gold Tie Clip Is Plated
The clip is a single folded bar, and every part of it takes the metal: the engraved front, the inner leaf that grips the placket and the curved fold joining them. Plating goes on at 5–7 microns and is finished with a mirror polish, so no section is left in a different colour or texture.
We photograph the 24K Gold version, and the lettering in those images is sample engraving only: a clip is supplied unmarked unless you ask for it. Rose Gold works with burgundy, brown and warm-patterned ties, while Platinum suits silver-grey, navy and black; all three are priced alike.
