Our Dubai atelier begins with a factory-new, unlocked Galaxy S26 Ultra bought at retail, lifts away its rear glass, fits a mirror-polished plated panel in place of it and anchors a heavy curb-link chain along the right-hand edge, held at top and bottom so nothing swings. It is the loudest voice in our Galaxy S26 Ultra collection.
Around the chain, restraint. The panel stays unpatterned, the Armor Aluminum frame and its buttons carry the identical tone, the rings circling each camera repeat it, and a small engraved mark names the metal low on the back beside the GoldPrivé wordmark. Chain and panel are ordered as one in 24K Gold, Rose Gold or Platinum, each 5–7 microns deep, each costing the same.

Count what we touch and the list runs to three items: the rear glass, which is exchanged for the plated panel the chain is mounted on; the Armor Aluminum frame with its buttons; and the rings around the lenses. Sealed away and never disturbed are the 6.9-inch display, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy processor, the 200MP camera system, the S Pen in its slot and the battery.
Software behaves as it would on any handset off the shelf, so Galaxy AI, 5G, eSIM and Samsung’s update schedule all continue undisturbed. Two daily habits have to change, because solid metal will pass neither a charging field nor the NFC signal Samsung Wallet relies on: power arrives through the USB‑C cable supplied, and a card takes over from tap-to-pay at the till.

Which parts of the phone does the atelier rework?
The exterior only. Samsung’s rear glass is swapped for a new polished panel carrying the chain, the Armor Aluminum frame and buttons are finished in the matching metal, and the camera lens rings are done to suit. Nothing internal is opened.
Am I buying a real Galaxy S26 Ultra?
You are. Each build opens with an unlocked handset bought new from retail stock, and the 200MP cameras, the built-in S Pen, Galaxy AI and Samsung’s own updates go on working just as they would untouched.
Does wireless charging or Samsung Wallet still function?
Neither does. Metal blocks the charging field and the NFC signal alike, so a Sovereign Link Gold Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is charged with the USB‑C cable and paid for with a card. Our Timeless editions retain Samsung’s glass and keep both.
