Atelier Gold iPhone Air: Geometry That Glitters

On the Atelier Gold iPhone Air, pattern does the talking. A raised lattice of small triangular facets covers the entire back, and as the phone turns, one facet after another catches the light, so the metal appears to ripple. The foundation is a new, unlocked Apple iPhone Air, finished by hand in Dubai as a boldly geometric member of our Ultimate collection.

Structure keeps all that texture composed. Beneath the camera area a polished chevron band, set with small fixings, draws a clean line across the back, and polished side rails with fixings of their own bracket the lattice left and right. The Maison plates the piece in 24K Gold, Rose Gold or Platinum at 5 to 7 microns, with no premium for any metal.

Every change Atelier makes is external. The replacement back panel carries the facets, chevron band and rails along with the plating, and the titanium frame is finished in the same metal so the sides continue the look. Apple’s A19 Pro chip, cameras, display, battery and internal parts are left sealed and unmodified, which means Face ID, the 48MP Fusion camera, 5G, eSIM, Apple Pay and iOS updates all work as they should.

Plan for a cable rather than a pad: the plated back blocks MagSafe and Qi2, so Atelier charges via USB‑C.

What exactly is customised on Atelier?

The rear panel is replaced with one carrying the triangular lattice, the polished chevron band and the side rails, and the titanium frame is plated in the metal you select. The screen and components stay as they left Apple’s factory.

Does Atelier begin as a real iPhone Air?
