A Garden in Metal

Botanica Gold Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8, Covered in Roses

Open roses, tight buds and curling leaves climb every centimetre of the Botanica Gold Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8, raised out of the metal so the pattern has real depth rather than a printed flatness. Underneath lies a brand-new, unlocked Galaxy Z Fold8; in our Dubai atelier its rear makes way for a new sculpted panel, finished with 5–7 microns of 24K Gold, Rose Gold or Platinum.

For all its richness, the composition is held in order. A slim polished band with a gentle downward curve crosses the panel just below the camera, set with small studs at its ends and centre, and a GoldPrivé nameplate sits quietly at the base. The tall pill-shaped island around the two lenses is finished smooth in the matching metal, a calm frame amid the foliage. No plating goes on Samsung’s frame or hinge, and the price is the same in every metal. Botanica is the ornamental voice of our Ultimate Z Fold8 collection.

Petals Outside, Samsung Inside

Where the Ornament Ends

Close in, each rose has layered petals and each leaf a slight twist, so highlights and shadows shift as you turn the phone. All of it lives on one replacement panel; together with the camera island, that is the whole of our work. Hinge and Armor Aluminum frame keep Samsung’s finish. Sealed beneath, untouched by us, are the 7.6-inch QXGA+ inner screen and its 5.5-inch companion outside, a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy, a pair of 50MP rear cameras and a 4,800mAh battery.

Galaxy AI, 5G, eSIM and Samsung’s updates continue unchanged. What a metal back cannot pass is the wireless charging field or the NFC handshake used by Samsung Wallet, so the Botanica Gold Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 draws its power through USB‑C, and for contactless purchases you reach for a card instead.

Note the charging line: on Botanica the metal shuts out wireless charging and tap-to-pay, so the USB‑C cable takes over. IP48 is Samsung’s figure for an unaltered handset; once customised, keep it dry. A soft cloth and our gold-finish care guide keep the petals bright.

Initials Among the Leaves

Personalising Your Botanica

A patterned back leaves less open metal than a mirror, but the polished band below the camera is a natural place for initials or a date. Send the details through our personalisation service and a consultant agrees the layout with you before the panel goes into production. For the history of the craft, Wikipedia’s page on engraving is a good start.

Botanica arrives in a GoldPrivé leather presentation box with a gift bag, with Samsung’s documentation, a charging cable for the USB‑C port, a 20W power adapter, and a certificate of authenticity traceable on our verification page. The adapter comes with every phone we supply; a phone you send us for customisation is returned without one.

About Botanica

Botanica: Your Questions Answered

What is changed and what is left as Samsung made it?

We replace the rear with the sculpted floral panel, plate it at 5 to 7 microns and finish the camera island to match. The frame, hinge, both screens and every internal part are untouched.

Is the floral pattern raised or flat?

Raised. The roses and leaves stand out from the panel in relief, which is why the pattern catches light so differently from a flat print.

Can the Botanica Gold Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 charge wirelessly or pay contactlessly?

No. The metal rear blocks the charging field as well as the NFC signal, so plug in the supplied USB‑C cable and keep a card handy for payments.

Which configurations can I choose?

Three: 12GB of RAM paired with 256GB or 512GB, or 16GB of RAM with a full terabyte, in any of the three metals.

How is Botanica priced?

It starts at $ 4,590 (256GB) and tops out at $ 5,290 (1TB). Metal choice leaves the figure unchanged.

What warranty does it carry?

Buy it from GoldPrivé and the handset is guaranteed for one year, while our customisation carries two years of cover under GoldPrivé Care. Avoid water once customised.

Can you customise a Fold8 I already own?

Certainly. Post us your handset and pay only for our work; carriage and customs each way are at your cost.

How does Botanica differ from its siblings?

It is the only floral design. Prestige is bare polished metal, Obelisk is studded with pyramids, Sovereign carries a jaguar emblem and Sovereign Link a curb chain. Prefer more screen? Botanica also comes as a Fold8 Ultra edition.
