Sovereign Gold Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 With a Leaping Jaguar

Mid-leap, forelegs reaching, tail streaming behind: the jaguar on the Sovereign Gold Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 is caught at the moment of greatest energy. Polished to a mirror, it rides across a broad chevron of pale metal whose face is scored with fine horizontal lines, and the whole emblem sits on a ground of tiny raised pyramids. The phone beneath is a factory-new, unlocked Galaxy Z Fold8, given a new rear panel in our Dubai atelier and plated 5–7 microns deep in 24K Gold, Rose Gold or Platinum.

On Samsung’s wider, shorter foldable the chevron settles across the middle of the back, pinned by four small screw heads at its corners, with the studded texture filling the space above and below. The pill-shaped island around the two lenses takes the chosen metal, and a GoldPrivé nameplate closes the composition at the foot. In 24K Gold and Rose Gold the pale band stands out boldly; in Platinum the contrast becomes subtle, tone on tone. Samsung’s frame and hinge are left unplated, and all three finishes are priced alike.

Three Layers, One Panel

Texture, Band and Emblem in Close-Up

Up close the design separates into three surfaces: the studded field, which scatters light into countless points; the lined band, which holds it in soft stripes; and the cat, which throws it straight back. All three belong to one replacement panel, and that panel plus the camera island is everything we make. The fold mechanism and its Armor Aluminum frame are not plated, and the 7.6-inch inner screen, 5.5-inch cover screen, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy chip, twin 50MP cameras and 4,800mAh battery remain sealed.

So Galaxy AI, 5G, eSIM and Samsung’s updates arrive as normal. Two contactless features do not: a metal back will not let through the wireless charging field or the NFC exchange Samsung Wallet needs. The Sovereign Gold Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 is charged by USB‑C cable instead, and tap-to-pay gives way to a card or another device.

Treat the charging entry with care: through this metal back there is no wireless charging and no tap-to-pay, only the USB‑C cable. The IP48 figure refers to the stock phone, so after customisation keep Sovereign clear of water. See our gold-finish care guide for cleaning a textured surface.

A Signature Beneath the Jaguar

An emblem says something public; initials or a date added beneath it make the statement private. Share the wording through our personalisation service, and a consultant decides with you where it can sit without crowding the band. The animal itself, the jaguar, has long stood for power and poise.

Sovereign is presented in a GoldPrivé leather box inside a gift bag, accompanied by Samsung’s documentation, a USB‑C cable, a 20W power adapter and a certificate of authenticity that anyone can check on our verification page. The adapter comes with every phone we supply; a phone you send us for customisation is returned without one.

Questions Clients Ask About Sovereign

What does the atelier replace, and what does it plate?

Samsung’s rear glass is exchanged for a new panel carrying the texture, the chevron and the jaguar, plated at 5 to 7 microns, and the camera island is finished to match. The hinge, frame, displays and internals are left alone.

Is the jaguar the same metal as the rest of the back?

The cat and the studded ground share the finish you choose, while the chevron behind it is deliberately paler, which is what makes the emblem stand out. On the Platinum version the two tones sit much closer together.

Can I charge the Sovereign Gold Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 on a pad, or pay with it?

Neither works. The metal rear blocks the charging field and the NFC signal used by Samsung Wallet, so plug in the USB‑C cable to charge and use a card for contactless payments.

What storage is available?

256GB, 512GB or 1TB. The first two include 12GB of RAM, the 1TB model 16GB.

How much does Sovereign cost?

Between $ 4,590 and $ 5,290, depending on capacity alone. Platinum costs no more than gold.

What guarantees come with it?

When you buy the phone through us, the device has a 1-year warranty and the customisation a 2-year warranty through GoldPrivé Care. Keep it dry, since Samsung’s IP48 rating no longer applies.

Could you customise a Fold8 I already own?

Yes. Send us your Galaxy Z Fold8 and pay for the customisation only, with shipping and customs both ways at your expense. Contact us before you send it.

How does Sovereign compare with the other designs?

It is the only one with an animal. Obelisk uses the same studded ground with a smooth chevron and no emblem, Botanica turns to roses, Prestige keeps the back plain, and Sovereign Link adds a chain. For a bigger screen there is a Fold8 Ultra edition.
