On the wider, passport-shaped back of Samsung’s newest foldable, a nazar finally has room to breathe. The LuxEvil Charm Gold Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 places a round evil-eye charm at the centre of the panel, just below the camera island, so it is the first thing anyone notices when the phone lies closed on a desk. Our Dubai atelier takes a sealed, unlocked Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8, swaps its back for a new panel carrying 5–7 microns of 24K Gold, Rose Gold or Platinum, and dresses the tall pill-shaped camera island in that same metal.

The charm is composed like a target drawn in jewels. An outer field of blue simulated diamonds gives way to a ring of white, then a band of golden stones, and finally a small blue pupil, every stone held in 18K solid gold. Lower down, a discreet engraving of the metal and the GoldPrivé name sits near the foot; nothing else competes. Crop in on the 24K Gold piece and the setting shows its discipline: stones march in tidy concentric rows, so each colour changes in a clean step. Everything we do happens on the rear. Samsung’s Armor Aluminum frame and Armor FlexHinge receive no plating, and we never open the 7.6-inch inner display, the 5.5-inch outer display or anything behind them, so the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy, the twin 50MP cameras and the 4,800mAh cell are Samsung’s untouched work.

A metal back does ask one compromise. Neither a charging pad’s field nor the NFC link for Samsung Wallet can pass through it, so the LuxEvil Charm Gold Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 refuels by USB‑C at up to 25W, and contactless payments move to a card or a second device. Galaxy AI, 5G and updates are unaffected, with security patches promised until 31 July 2033.

What exactly does the atelier alter?

Only the rear: a freshly plated panel, the camera island in matching metal, and the 18K solid gold charm. We leave the frame and hinge bare of plating and never open either display or the electronics.

Do I receive a brand-new Samsung?

You do: a factory-new, unlocked Galaxy Z Fold8, customised by hand. Clients who already own this model may post it to us instead and pay for the customisation alone, covering shipping and customs each way themselves.

Will wireless charging or Samsung Wallet work?

Neither. Metal stops the charging field and the NFC signal for tap-to-pay, so the LuxEvil Charm Gold Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 charges by USB‑C cable and payments go through a card or another device. The Timeless colours are expected to keep both, which a consultant confirms first.

Which capacities can I choose?
