Engraving Meets Shell

Royal Gold Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8: A Garden in Metal Over Pearl

Roses and curling leaves cut into metal, then a sweep of iridescent shell: the Royal Gold Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 is the most ornamental of our pearl designs. It is made from a factory-new, unlocked Galaxy Z Fold8 — Samsung’s new, wider book foldable — whose back glass our Dubai atelier exchanges for a hand-built panel. The metal of that panel and the camera surround are plated 5–7 microns in 24K Gold, Rose Gold or Platinum. We never plate the frame or hinge.

Deep engraving fills the upper third, flowing around the tall pill that holds both lenses. Its lower edge dips into a shallow V, marked by a plated rail set with small round fixings, and beneath that the panel turns to genuine mother of pearl down to a plated GoldPrivé plaque at the foot. Because each sheet is cut from a natural shell, its play of pink, green and white is never repeated. Price is identical in every metal. See the whole Pearl Edition for Z Fold8.

Ornament on the Back, Samsung Everywhere Else

Scrollwork, rail, shell and plaque together form the new back, and the camera surround is the single other plated part. We stop there. The 7.6-inch main and 5.5-inch cover displays, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy processor, the two 50MP cameras and the 4,800mAh battery stay sealed, while the unplated Armor Aluminum frame and Armor FlexHinge keep the fold true.

So Royal behaves like any Galaxy Z Fold8, with Galaxy AI, eSIM, 5G and Samsung updates scheduled to 31 July 2033. Wireless charging and Samsung Wallet tap-to-pay are the exceptions to check: some configurations of this pearl-and-metal back keep them and some do not, and a consultant confirms yours before the order. A USB‑C cable charges it regardless.

Wireless charging on Royal depends on configuration and is confirmed by a consultant before ordering; cable charging over USB‑C always works. Samsung rates the unmodified phone IP48, but a customised back with shell set into it should be kept completely dry. Our gold finish care guide explains gentle cleaning for plated metal.

Dedication & Delivery

Engraving and Presenting the Royal Gold Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8

With the scrollwork occupying the top, personal lettering goes on the plaque at the base: initials, a short name or an anniversary date. The shell itself is never engraved. Suggest your wording on our customisation page and a consultant will advise what fits before we commit the panel.

Royal is presented in a GoldPrivé leather box with a gift bag, accompanied by Samsung’s documentation, a USB‑C cable, a 20W power adapter and an authenticity certificate registered on our verification page. Still choosing a foldable? Our Z Fold8 vs Z Fold8 Ultra guide lays out the differences. The adapter comes with every phone we supply; a phone you send us for customisation is returned without one.

About Royal

Royal Gold Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8: Common Questions

How much of the phone do you alter?

Just the exterior back. A replacement panel carrying the engraving, the rail of fixings, the shell and the plaque is fitted in place of the glass and plated 5 to 7 microns, with the camera surround matched. No plating reaches the frame or hinge, and the phone is never opened.

Which Samsung model is used?

A factory-new, unlocked Galaxy Z Fold8, the new wider-format book foldable with a 7.6-inch inner screen. If you already have one, you may send it in and pay only for the customisation, covering shipping and customs both ways yourself.

Does Royal support wireless charging and tap-to-pay?

Some configurations do and some do not. A consultant confirms wireless charging and Samsung Wallet tap-to-pay for your Royal Gold Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 before the order is placed; USB‑C charging works in all cases.

Is every pearl panel different?

Yes. Mother of pearl is natural shell, so the pattern and colour vary from one panel to the next. The photographs show the style, not your exact sheet.

Which storage sizes are offered?

256GB, 512GB or 1TB. The first two come with 12GB of RAM and 1TB with 16GB.

How is Royal priced?

$ 4,690 for 256GB rising to $ 5,290 for 1TB, the same whether you choose 24K Gold, Rose Gold or Platinum.

What warranty applies, and can it get wet?

Purchased from us, Royal has a one-year device warranty and a two-year customisation warranty through GoldPrivé Care. Keep it dry: IP48 is Samsung’s rating for the unaltered phone only.

How does Royal compare with the other pearl designs?

Royal is the engraved one. Regal Victory narrows a pearl band between textured chevrons, Regal adds a chain to a nearly all-pearl back, and Pearl Knot sets shell beside a woven lattice with a bar for your name.
