Said Twice, Then Silence

Genesis II Gold Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8: Two Strokes of Metal

Some designs earn their presence through quantity; the Genesis II Gold Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 does it with exactly two strokes of polished metal and a great deal of calm around them. Underneath is Samsung’s all-new Galaxy Z Fold8, the wider book-style foldable, which reaches our Dubai atelier sealed and unlocked. There, by hand, the glass back is exchanged for a new panel pressed with interlocking hexagons, and both bars receive 5–7 microns of Platinum, Rose Gold or 24K Gold.

The pair sits high, just under a pill-shaped camera surround plated in the same metal, and each bar bows softly downward towards its middle like a wide, shallow V. Tiny screw heads punctuate the ends and the centre, a detail the angled studio shot picks out clearly. Below them the dark relief runs uninterrupted to a plated GoldPrivé nameplate, set at a slant in the lower corner. Noir is photographed, and Crimson Red, Rose Fuchsia, Royale Blue and Verdant cost the same. We never plate the frame or the hinge.

Where the Work Stops

Two Bars, and Samsung’s Engineering Untouched

Seen up close, the bars have the flat, mirror polish of jewellery while the hexagons around them stay velvety and dark. That contrast, and the matching camera surround, is the entire customisation. Samsung’s Armor FlexHinge opens and closes as designed, the Armor Aluminum frame keeps its own finish, and inside nothing moves: the 7.6-inch QXGA+ main display, the 5.5-inch cover display, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy processor, both 50MP cameras and the 4,800mAh cell are exactly as built.

Day to day, the phone behaves like any Galaxy Z Fold8, with Galaxy AI, 5G and eSIM intact and security patches promised until 31 July 2033. The exceptions are wireless charging and Samsung Wallet tap-to-pay: plated metal across the back stops the charging field and the NFC exchange alike. Plug in the USB‑C cable for power, up to 25W wired, and keep a card for contactless purchases.

Ignore any wireless charging entry for this model: Genesis II takes power by cable only. The IP48 rating describes the phone in Samsung’s original state, so treat the customised piece as one to keep away from water. Our care guide for gold finishes explains how to clean the bars.

Personalising Your Twin-Bar Foldable

The upper bar suits a name, the lower one a date, and a single monogram on either keeps the composition balanced. Tell us what you would like through the personalisation page; a consultant sends back the layout for approval before production begins, and only then is the panel cut.

Your Genesis II Gold Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 comes boxed in GoldPrivé leather, with a gift bag for the moment of giving. Also packed: the documents Samsung supplies, a USB‑C cable, a 20W power adapter, and an authenticity certificate whose details you can confirm through our verification page. Want to see every chevron variation together? The Premium Anodised Z Fold8 category lines them up. The adapter comes with every phone we supply; a phone you send us for customisation is returned without one.

Genesis II Gold Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Questions

Which parts are new and which are plated?

The hexagon-relief back is new and comes in the colour you choose. Its two bars and the slanted nameplate are plated 5 to 7 microns deep, and the camera surround is matched to them. Frame, hinge, displays and internals stay exactly as Samsung made them.

Where does the phone come from?

Each Genesis II starts as a brand-new, unlocked Galaxy Z Fold8, customised by hand in our Dubai atelier, so the cameras, Galaxy AI and Samsung’s software support are all original.

Does it work with wireless chargers and Samsung Wallet?

It does not. The metal on the back of the Genesis II Gold Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 shields the charging coil and the NFC antenna used for tap-to-pay. Use the USB‑C cable to charge, and a card or another device to pay.

Should I keep it away from water?

Yes, always. Samsung rates the factory phone IP48, but that figure no longer applies once the back has been rebuilt, so the customised phone should be kept dry.

What does it cost, and which storage can I pick?

From $ 4,590 for 256GB to $ 5,290 for 1TB, with 512GB between. The two smaller sizes have 12GB of RAM, the largest 16GB, and the colour and metal you choose leave the price unchanged.

Is there a warranty?

When the phone is supplied by us, the device has a one-year warranty and the customisation a two-year warranty through GoldPrivé Care.

I already own a Galaxy Z Fold8. Can you customise it?

Yes. Ship it to us and you pay only for the Genesis II work; freight and customs duties in both directions are your responsibility.

How is Genesis II different from the rest of the family?

It is the middle voice. Genesis uses one bar, Genesis III stacks four, and Ledger Link runs a curb chain down the same textured back. Prefer the larger screen? See the Fold8 Ultra edition.
