Of all the Exotic Skin work, the Braid Gold Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra is the design that expects to be personalised. It begins as a factory-new, unlocked Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra; in Dubai the rear glass is exchanged for a panel whose metal, and the camera surround with it, takes 5–7 microns of 24K Gold, Rose Gold or Platinum. As on every foldable we make, the frame and hinge are never plated. The piece sits in our Z Fold8 Ultra collection.
Most of the panel is given over to interlaced knots in raised relief, a weave that shifts as light crosses it. A vertical band of crocodile hide runs the full height on the right, and between weave and hide sits a slim plated divider; in our renders it reads NAME AND INITIALS HERE, holding the space your own engraving will occupy. A Personal Back, an Original Samsung
Weave, divider and hide all belong to the replacement panel; the plated camera surround completes the list. The frame and hinge keep Samsung’s own finish so the two halves still close flush, and the phone itself is never opened — main screen, cover screen, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy processor, 200MP camera and battery included.
Samsung’s software is likewise untouched: eSIM, 5G, Galaxy AI and each scheduled update arrive as normal. Only the wireless features need checking. Pad charging and Samsung Wallet tap-to-pay are supported by some configurations of this design and not by others, so your consultant establishes which before you order, and the USB‑C cable covers every case.

A new panel replaces the rear glass and carries the woven lattice, the plated divider and the leather strip, its metal plated 5 to 7 microns deep along with the camera surround. The frame and hinge are excluded from plating; screens and internals are not disturbed.

Does the work affect warranty or water resistance?

Which design should I compare it with?
Braid is the woven one, and the only piece in hide with a divider made for lettering. Exotic Royal is engraved with scrollwork, Wild Elegance Victory holds a band between chevrons and Wild Elegance Link adds a chain. Its counterpart in shell is Pearl Knot.
