Woven metal on one side, shell on the other: the Pearl Knot Gold Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra is a study in contrast. The commission opens with a factory-new, unlocked Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra whose rear glass is replaced by a panel plated 5–7 microns deep in 24K Gold, Rose Gold or Platinum, with the camera surround in the same finish. The frame and hinge are never plated. Pearl Knot is the woven piece of the Pearl Edition within our Z Fold8 Ultra collection.
Interlaced knots stand in relief across the greater part of the back and gather round the camera surround. Along the right runs a narrow band of genuine mother of pearl, a natural nacre whose flecks and banding arrive differently on every phone. The slim plated divider between them is shown engraved NAME AND INITIALS HERE, reserving that space for you. The three metals cost the same.
Shell on the Surface, Samsung Underneath
Lattice, divider and nacre are worked into the new panel; the camera surround is plated to agree with them. That is the whole of our intervention. The frame and hinge are never plated, so the phone folds the way it was engineered to, and we do not open it: the 8.0-inch and 6.5-inch displays, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy processor, the 200MP camera and the battery remain factory parts.
Consequently Galaxy AI, 5G, eSIM and Samsung’s updates behave normally. Wireless charging and Samsung Wallet tap-to-pay are the two to ask about: they work on some configurations of this design and not on every one, so a consultant confirms yours ahead of the order. Charging through the USB‑C cable is never affected.
