Wild Elegance Victory Gold iPhone Air: Hobnail Meets Hide
Two contrasting surfaces share the back of the Wild Elegance Victory Gold iPhone Air: the faceted grid of hobnail metal and the patterned grain of crocodile leather. Our Dubai atelier takes an unlocked Apple iPhone Air, fresh and unused, and exchanges Apple’s rear panel for this metal-and-leather composition, adding a boldly textured choice to the Exotic Skin collection.
Read it from top to bottom. The upper section, plated and hobnail-textured, ends in a chevron; leather fills the middle; a second hobnail-textured section climbs from the base in an inverted chevron. Metal parts and the titanium frame are plated at 5–7 microns in 24K Gold, Rose Gold or Platinum, all at one price. The leather comes in brown, red, black, blue or green, again without any price difference, and black appears in the renders.
Craft on the Shell, Apple Throughout
The commission changes the phone’s shell and nothing more. Apple’s rear panel is retired in favour of a new one that houses the leather; the hobnail sections on that panel are plated, and the titanium frame is finished in the same metal. We never open the display, the A19 Pro chip, the cameras or the battery, so Apple Pay, eSIM, 5G, Face ID and the 48MP Fusion camera all keep working, and iOS updates arrive as usual.

The shell alone. A replacement back panel houses the crocodile leather between two plated hobnail sections, and the titanium frame is finished to match. The interior stays exactly as Apple sealed it.
