Think of the Braid Gold Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 as a monogrammed accessory that happens to run Galaxy AI. We begin with a factory-new, unlocked Galaxy Z Fold8, the wider passport-shaped book foldable that Samsung describes as the world’s lightest of its kind, and in our Dubai atelier swap its rear glass for a hand-finished panel. That panel and the tall pill around the two cameras carry 5–7 microns of 24K Gold, Rose Gold or Platinum. Samsung’s Armor Aluminum frame and the hinge stay unplated.

What does the atelier actually change?

Only the back and the camera surround. A new panel carrying the weave, the name bar and the crocodile strip replaces Samsung’s rear glass, and its metal is plated 5 to 7 microns thick. The aluminium frame and the hinge stay unplated, and neither screen nor any internal part is touched.

Is the phone a genuine, new Samsung?

Yes. Each Braid starts as a factory-new, unlocked Galaxy Z Fold8. If you already own one, you can send it to us and pay for the customisation alone; shipping and customs in both directions are then yours to arrange.

Can I charge it wirelessly or pay with my phone?

It depends on the configuration. Some builds of the Braid Gold Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 keep wireless charging and Samsung Wallet tap-to-pay and others lose them, so your consultant confirms the answer before the order is placed. The USB‑C cable charges every version.

Braid is the woven one, and the only hide design with a bar made for lettering.
