Our Dubai atelier receives a factory-new Samsung Galaxy Watch9, coats the aluminium case and its pair of buttons in Rose Gold, 24K Gold or Platinum to 5–7 microns, and fits it with Samsung’s own white Sport Band, on which the pin buckle alone is plated in the same colour. White makes gold look warmer and platinum look cooler, and it gives the whole watch an easy, holiday mood. The softly squared cushion case frames the round screen in mirror-bright metal, the smooth white band keeps everything light and clean, and the gleam of the plated buckle ties the two together. It is a natural partner for linen, pale tailoring and evenings on a terrace.

What We Plate and What Samsung Keeps

Our work on Ivory is limited to three pieces of metal: the aluminium case, its two buttons and the band’s pin buckle, each plated to 5–7 microns. The white band is left exactly as Samsung made it. So is everything that makes the watch function, from the sapphire crystal and the display to the processor with its 2GB of memory and 32GB of storage, the sensors and the battery. The sensor back on the underside is not plated either.

Because that back stays bare, it meets Samsung’s wireless charger in the normal way and charging is unchanged. Health tracking, workouts and Wear OS with Gemini, updates included, run as on any Watch9. Fit is simple: the Sport Band fastens with its pin buckle and adjusts hole by hole, so the watch is ready to wear the moment it arrives.

Which parts of Ivory are finished in precious metal?

The aluminium case, both buttons and the Sport Band’s pin buckle, plated at 5 to 7 microns. The white band itself, the crystal, the display and the sensor back are all Samsung’s untouched originals.

Is Ivory a real Samsung Galaxy Watch9?

Yes. Every one begins as a factory-new Galaxy Watch9, and the atelier changes its exterior only, so the Snapdragon Wear Elite processor, the sensors and the software work as Samsung intended.

Does Ivory work with Samsung’s charger?

It does. The charger in the box rests against the unplated sensor back and charges the watch as usual, for up to 40 hours of use with Always On Display off.

Can I have Ivory engraved?
