Luxury Gold Shure Super 55 Deluxe Microphone — 24K Gold / Rose Gold / Platinum
$ 3,699
Shure’s Super 55 Deluxe, the supercardioid dynamic microphone behind the Art Deco grille, finished by GoldPrivé: body, grille and swivel mount plated in 24K Gold, Rose Gold or Platinum in place of chrome. The “55” nameplate and the sound remain Shure’s.
Luxury Gold Shure Super 55: Chrome Exchanged for Gold
Some microphones are meant to be looked at as much as listened to. Shure’s Super 55 Deluxe is one of them, with its streamlined Art Deco grille, and the Luxury Gold Shure Super 55 trades the factory chrome for precious metal. At our Dubai atelier the die-cast body, the grille and the swivel stand mount are plated in 24K Gold, Rose Gold or Platinum and brought to a mirror shine. It forms part of our gold microphones, priced identically in all three metals.
Behind the styling is a serious stage instrument. The Super 55 is a dynamic vocal microphone with a supercardioid pickup, a tighter pattern that concentrates on the singer directly ahead and gives less attention to the sides. Its cartridge rides on a shock mount to quieten handling noise. Every part of that remains precisely as Shure designed it.
Grille, Body and Swivel in a Single Finish
On a standard Super 55, every visible metal surface is chrome. Here the die-cast body, each bar of the Art Deco grille and the swivel mount are plated at 5–7 microns and mirror-finished, so the whole silhouette reads as one continuous piece of metal. The images show 24K Gold. Platinum is the nearest in tone to the original chrome, with a deeper lustre, and Rose Gold suits a softer, vintage-toned stage.
A few details are deliberately left alone. The “55” nameplate on the stem keeps its original face, Shure’s blue foam windscreen stays behind the grille bars (the renders draw it darker than it is), and the cartridge and wiring are untouched. A standard three-pin XLR lead connects it to any mixer or interface, and as a dynamic design it needs no power supply. It has no water rating, so keep it clear of drinks and other liquids.
The Super 55 Deluxe in Numbers
These are the figures Shure publishes for the standard Super 55 Deluxe, available on shure.com. Construction is listed as Shure sells it, in chrome; our plating replaces that chrome and leaves every acoustic figure as it is.
Between performances the finish asks only for a soft, dry, lint-free cloth; abrasive and chemical cleaners should never touch it. Sanitise the grille by wiping it gently with that cloth, and never soak it. Keep perfume and hand cream away from the metal, and rest the microphone in its pouch or case when it is not in use. GoldPrivé Care is on hand for anything further.
Personalise the Luxury Gold Shure Super 55
The plated body can carry an engraving: initials, a name, a brief message or a logo, subject to feasibility. Send your idea through our personalisation page and your consultant will confirm what the space allows, agree the artwork and quote it before anything is made.
Your microphone is presented in a GoldPrivé box, together with everything Shure packs with the Super 55 and a Certificate of Authenticity, which can be checked on our verification page. A 50% deposit opens the commission, or you may pay in full at once. Each piece is made to order: your consultant confirms your choice of metal, any engraving and production, then arranges insured delivery. Once production is under way, the commission is final.

Luxury Gold Shure Super 55, Explained
What exactly is plated?
The die-cast body, the Art Deco grille and the swivel stand mount, all in the metal you choose at 5–7 microns and mirror-finished. On a standard Super 55 those parts are chrome.
Is the nameplate plated too?
No. The “55” nameplate keeps its original face so the model remains instantly identifiable, and Shure’s blue foam windscreen still shows between the grille bars.
What is included?
Everything Shure packs with the Super 55, plus a GoldPrivé presentation box and a Certificate of Authenticity.
Can it be engraved?
Yes, with initials, a name, a short message or a logo on the plated body, where feasible. Begin on our customisation form; your consultant agrees the design and quotes it before production.
Does the plating affect the sound or setup?
Not at all. The cartridge and wiring are Shure’s, the swivel still tilts as designed, and the three-pin XLR output suits any standard mixer or interface. There is no water rating, so avoid liquids.
What is the price of the Luxury Gold Shure Super 55?
$ 3,699, the same in 24K Gold, Rose Gold or Platinum.
How do I care for the finish?
Use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth and no abrasive or chemical products. To sanitise the grille, wipe it gently instead of soaking it; keep perfume and hand cream off the metal and store it in its pouch or case. GoldPrivé Care covers anything more.
How is it different from the other models?
The Super 55 is chosen for its look as much as its sound. The Luxury Gold Shure SM58 is the simpler everyday vocal shape, while the Luxury Gold Sennheiser MAT 133 Gooseneck is built for podiums and boardrooms. All of them are in our gold microphone collection.
Commission a Gilded Super 55
Decide on the metal and any engraving, then reserve the Luxury Gold Shure Super 55 with a 50% deposit or pay in full. Your consultant oversees each stage at the atelier, and the commission is final once production starts.
