Grandeur Gold iPhone Air: A Study in Contrast

Symmetry defines the Grandeur Gold iPhone Air. Down the middle of the back runs a column of hobnail-textured metal from top edge to bottom, and on each side sits a pale panel with a fine texture of its own. The piece is created from a new, unlocked Apple iPhone Air in our Dubai atelier and represents the quieter side of the Ultimate collection.

Nothing competes for attention here. There is no figure and no stone, only bright worked metal set against pale texture. The camera plateau carries the same finish as the central band, so the column appears to continue to the very top of the phone. Platinum, 24K Gold and Rose Gold plating is applied at 5 to 7 microns, and all three share one price.

New Back and Frame, Apple Hardware Intact

For Grandeur, GoldPrivé replaces Apple’s back with a new panel holding the textured band, the pale side sections and the plating, then plates the titanium frame in the same metal. That is where our work ends. The phone is never opened, so its battery, cameras, A19 Pro chip, screen and internals remain original, and Apple Pay, eSIM, 5G, Face ID, iOS updates and the 48MP Fusion camera keep working as designed.

What changes is charging. MagSafe and Qi2 cannot reach the battery through a plated back, so the Grandeur Gold iPhone Air recharges over USB‑C.
