Work starts from a new, unworn Apple Watch Series 12 with an aluminium case, straight from the factory; our Dubai atelier plates it by hand in 24K Gold, Rose Gold or Platinum, 5–7 microns thick, and joins a bracelet plated in the identical metal. Its links are large and elongated, each cut like a stretched diamond with bevelled facets, and they overlap in staggered rows the way scales do. Every facet turns the light at a slightly different angle, so the bracelet flickers as the wrist moves. It belongs with strong tailoring and with anyone who likes jewellery with some architecture to it, and on the 46mm case it looks especially commanding.
What Changes and What Does Not
Customisation is confined to what you can see and touch. We plate the aluminium case, the Digital Crown and the side button, and every faceted Imperial link receives the same metal as the case. Apple’s screen, S11 chip, sensors and battery are left alone, and the sensor back underneath retains the finish Apple gave it.
With that back unplated, Apple’s magnetic fast charger aligns and powers up the watch without fuss, and blood oxygen readings, sleep score, training sessions and watchOS updates run exactly as on a standard Series 12. The bracelet closes with a folding clasp set within the line of links, and before the watch leaves us your GoldPrivé consultant can have links removed for a precise fit.

Beneath the plating, Imperial is an aluminium Apple Watch Series 12, so the specifications given are Apple’s own for that model. We do not quote weight, since the plating adds a touch to it. Everything else is set out in Apple’s Series 12 technical specifications.

Which parts of Imperial carry the plating?
The case, crown and side button are plated at 5–7 microns in 24K Gold, Rose Gold or Platinum, and the faceted links are finished to match. Apple’s display and the sensor back are left as they came.
Is this a genuine Series 12?
Every Imperial starts as a brand-new aluminium Apple Watch Series 12. Its Always-On Retina display, rated up to 2000 nits, the Ceramic Shield 2 front, the S11 chip and the sensors are Apple’s, untouched by our work.
Will it still charge on Apple’s cable?
It will. Because the sensor back never receives plating, the magnetic fast-charging cable attaches as normal. Apple rates the battery at up to 24 hours, stretching to 38 hours in Low Power Mode.
Is engraving possible?
Yes. Submit your text via our engraving service, and your GoldPrivé consultant settles the wording and placement with you before production.
What case sizes does Imperial come in?
Imperial is built on either the 42mm or the 46mm Series 12 case, and both are available in every metal. The bracelet is shortened by removing links before delivery.
