The Carbon Grandeur

Carbon Grandeur Gold iPhone Air: Built on Vertical Lines

Proportion does the talking on the Carbon Grandeur Gold iPhone Air. Polished plated metal encloses the camera and tapers to a downward chevron point, guiding the eye into a tall panel of woven carbon fibre. We build it on a brand-new, unlocked Apple iPhone Air, and within the Carbon Craft collection it is the most architectural of the four.

Two finely ribbed plated rails stand either side of the carbon like pilasters, so the weave reads as a framed panel, and a nameplate anchors the composition at its base. Against the mirror polish above, the twill looks matte and quietly diagonal. Rose Gold, Platinum or 24K Gold is plated at 5–7 microns onto the panel’s metalwork and onto Apple’s titanium frame, by hand, in Dubai.

The Scope of Our Work

Tailored Outside, Factory-Sealed Within

Think of Grandeur as tailoring. Apple’s back is exchanged for the chevron, rail and carbon panel, and plating on the frame continues the colour over edges and buttons. Nobody opens the handset: its display, battery, cameras, A19 Pro chip and internal hardware remain as they left Apple.

So Face ID still unlocks, Apple Pay still pays, eSIM and 5G connect, the 48MP Fusion camera shoots and iOS updates install as normal. Wireless charging is the trade-off, because the carbon is mounted on plated metal that MagSafe and Qi2 cannot penetrate. The Carbon Grandeur Gold iPhone Air therefore draws its charge through USB‑C.

On Grandeur, set the wireless charging line aside: the plated back prevents MagSafe and Qi2, which leaves USB‑C as the route to a full battery. A customised piece is not water resistant, so glance at our gold iPhone care advice before daily use.

Good to Know

Carbon Grandeur Gold iPhone Air, Answered

What does the Grandeur customisation involve?

A new back panel and a plated frame. The panel combines a polished plated section around the camera ending in a downward point, ribbed plated rails at both sides, a tall woven carbon centre and a nameplate at the base; the titanium frame is plated to match, and the internals stay closed.

Is the handset an authentic Apple product?

Yes. Grandeur begins as a new, unlocked iPhone Air from Apple, so Face ID, the cameras, Apple Pay and software updates work as they always would.

Does Grandeur support MagSafe?

No. MagSafe and Qi2 cannot charge through the plated metal behind the carbon. It charges over USB‑C with the cable and 20W adapter provided.

Could my initials or a logo be added?

Certainly. Send the request through our customisation page and a GoldPrivé consultant will confirm the artwork and where it goes.

How many sizes are there?

Just one: the iPhone Air has a 6.5-inch screen. Grandeur lets you pick 256GB, 512GB or 1TB of storage.

How much is Grandeur?

Prices run from $ 4,190 (256GB) to $ 4,790 (1TB); 24K Gold, Rose Gold and Platinum sit at the same level.

Is Apple’s warranty still valid, and is it water resistant?

Apple may treat a customised phone as modified, so its warranty may be affected, and it is no longer water resistant. GoldPrivé Care looks after our customised back and frame.

Grandeur, Royal, Victory or Carbon: which suits me?

Pick Grandeur for symmetry and clean lines. Carbon Royal adds Baroque engraving, Carbon Victory brings hobnail texture top and bottom, and Carbon is the quietest, nearly all weave. The Carbon Craft category shows all four, and these layouts return in exotic leather and pearl editions.
