Across the Mediterranean and the Middle East, the open hand and the watchful eye have been worn for protection for centuries, often together. The Hamsa Eye Amulet Gold Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 unites them in one piece, and it is the line’s most colourful hamsa. We begin with a sealed, unlocked Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8, give it a new back panel plated 5–7 microns deep in 24K Gold, Rose Gold or Platinum, and plate the tall camera island to match before the amulet is fixed in the middle of the panel.

Look at the hand and you see colour moving inwards. White simulated diamonds pave each downward-pointing finger and the outline of the palm; inside, a ring of turquoise surrounds a cluster of deep blue that forms the eye itself. The setting is 18K solid gold. A small engraving of the metal and the GoldPrivé name rests near the lower edge, and the rest of the panel is left polished so the colours can glow. Turquoise, Blue and a Plated Back

On the 24K Gold close-up, the turquoise ring stands out sharply against the warm metal, while the blue centre looks almost ink-dark. That is the full extent of our intervention: the back panel, the camera island and the hamsa. Samsung’s frame and Armor FlexHinge stay unplated so the fold moves as designed, and the two Dynamic AMOLED 2X displays, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy platform and the 4,800mAh battery remain sealed and original.

Plating does change two habits. A metal rear stops the wireless charging field as well as the NFC that Samsung Wallet tap-to-pay depends on, so this foldable charges through its USB‑C port, up to 25W, and you pay at the till with a card or another device. Galaxy AI, 5G and Samsung’s security updates, promised to 31 July 2033, are not affected.
