A factory-new Apple Watch Ultra 4 comes to our Dubai atelier, where its Grade 5 titanium case is hand-finished in 24K Gold, Rose Gold or Platinum and matched with Apple’s Ocean Band in a deep navy. Navy is dark without being severe: softer than black, more serious than a pale strap. That middle ground is why Atlantic sits comfortably under a shirt cuff or alongside a navy suit, yet still feels relaxed on a weekend walk. The contrast is at its strongest in 24K Gold, warmer and gentler in Rose Gold, and cool and understated in Platinum.
Where the Metal Goes, and What Apple Keeps
Four elements are plated at 5–7 microns: the Grade 5 titanium case, the Digital Crown, the side button and the Action button. Apple’s navy strap is not plated; it is a high-performance fluoroelastomer band with a ribbed, tubular profile, and only its buckle and loop are finished in the case metal, so the colour of the case is echoed on the strap. The flat sapphire crystal, display, S11 chip, sensors and battery are Apple’s, left alone, and so is the dark sensor back.
Leaving that back in its original state keeps owning the Atlantic Gold Apple Watch Ultra 4 simple. The magnetic fast charger clicks into place as it would on any Ultra 4, and heart rate, blood oxygen, the always-on altimeter and the compass work normally, with watchOS updates arriving as usual. The band flexes a little as you fasten it, helping it sit securely, and you set the length at the buckle.

What is plated on Atlantic?
The titanium case, Digital Crown, side button and Action button, at a thickness of 5 to 7 microns, plus the band’s buckle and loop. The navy strap, the crystal and the sensor back are Apple’s originals.
Is the watch inside a genuine Apple Watch Ultra 4?
Always. Atlantic begins with a brand-new Ultra 4. The S11 chip, the 3000-nit display, the heart, blood oxygen and temperature sensors, and features such as Siren all remain as Apple designed them.
Can I charge it the usual way?
You can. With the sensor back unplated, Apple’s magnetic cable, included in the box, attaches as normal, and Apple says an 80% charge takes about 45 minutes.
Is engraving possible on Atlantic?

What case size does Atlantic come in?
Only 49mm, the one size of the Ultra 4. There is no bracelet to shorten: the Ocean Band is set to your wrist at the buckle.

May I wear Atlantic in the water, and what about the warranty?
It should stay dry. Although Apple built the Ocean Band for water sports, this customised watch should not be used for diving, swimming or showering, since it is no longer water resistant.
