Sterling Gold Apple Watch Series 12: A Bangle That Tells Time
Some clients want a watch that joins their jewellery rather than competing with it, and the Sterling Gold Apple Watch Series 12 was drawn with them in mind. It begins life as a factory-new Apple Watch Series 12 in aluminium. Our Dubai atelier then builds up 24K Gold, Rose Gold or Platinum on the case to a depth of 5–7 microns and fits a slender bangle in the matching metal. Of all the bracelets in our gold Apple Watch Series 12 collection, Sterling is the most delicate.
Two fine polished rails leave the lugs and curve round the wrist with open space between them, so the piece reads as a bangle first and a watch band second. Where the rails end, a delicate chain passes through a small slider and finishes in round beads, the kind of closure more often seen on fine jewellery than on a watch. Worn alone it looks deliberate; stacked beside a favourite bracelet it simply becomes part of the set.
Plated Rails, Apple Inside
Plating goes onto the aluminium case, the side button and the Digital Crown, and Sterling’s rails, chain, slider and beads are finished to match, so nothing on the wrist is a different colour. Apple’s engineering is not disturbed: screen, S11 chip, sensors and battery stay sealed as they came from the factory, and the sensor back is left in the finish Apple gave it.
Because that back is untouched, Apple’s magnetic fast charger meets it as designed, and heart readings, sleep tracking and every watchOS update carry on as they would on any Series 12. To put Sterling on, loosen the slider, ease the bangle over the wrist, then draw the slider back along the chain until the opening closes to a comfortable fit. Which parts of Sterling carry the plating?
A layer of 5–7 microns covers the case, side button and Digital Crown, in 24K Gold, Rose Gold or Platinum, and the entire bangle, chain, slider and beads included, is plated to match. Display and sensor back stay as Apple produced them.
Is Sterling built on a genuine Apple Watch?
It is. Each one starts as a brand-new aluminium Series 12 that we customise by hand in Dubai. The S11 chip, the electrical and optical heart sensors, blood oxygen and temperature sensing all function as Apple intended.
How do I charge it?
Just as you would any Series 12. We never plate the sensor back, so Apple’s magnetic cable seats against it normally, and by Apple’s figures roughly half an hour brings the battery to 80%.
Can I have Sterling engraved?

Which sizes is Sterling available in?
There are two: the 42mm and the 46mm Series 12 case, each offered in all three metals. The slider lets you fine-tune the fit day to day.

At 42mm, Sterling is $ 2,480; at 46mm, it is $ 2,600. Choosing Rose Gold or Platinum instead of 24K Gold does not change the price.
What happens to the warranty and water resistance?
