The Genesis Gold Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra works by restraint: a dark, closely worked surface of interlocking hexagons carrying only as much precious metal as the composition needs. The handset underneath is new and unlocked, a genuine Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra whose rear glass steps aside in our Dubai atelier for a panel worked in that hexagon relief, its accents plated 5–7 microns deep in Platinum, 24K Gold or Rose Gold. One wide chevron, polished flat, curves under the lens surround, itself finished in the chosen metal; narrow plated rails follow each long edge, drawing a border around the texture. A plated GoldPrivé nameplate sits at the base. Noir is the colour photographed; Crimson Red, Royale Blue, Verdant and Rose Fuchsia are equally available from this page at no difference in price. Whichever you settle on, the hinge and the frame are never plated.
What the Atelier Makes, and What It Leaves
The close crop shows the balance of it. Hexagons keep to themselves in the dark while the chevron, the rails and the lens surround take all of the light, and everything named there belongs to the replacement panel. Beneath, Samsung’s own work stands: the folding mechanism and the frame carry no plating, so the phone closes as it should, and the pair of displays, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy chip, the 200MP cameras and the battery go undisturbed.
You keep 5G, eSIM, Galaxy AI and every Samsung update. You give up the two conveniences that need a signal to cross the rear of the phone: charging from a pad, and tap-to-pay through Samsung Wallet. Metal over the panel refuses both, leaving the USB‑C cable for power and a card for contactless purchases.
Samsung’s Specification, Colour Aside

Only the wireless line reads differently: charging is by cable and tap-to-pay is unavailable. What does the atelier change on Genesis?
A new panel textured in interlocking hexagons, in whichever colour you select, takes over from the rear glass. Its chevron, rails and nameplate carry 5 to 7 microns of precious metal, and so does the lens surround. Plating goes nowhere near the hinge or the frame, and screens and internals remain standard.
Is it a genuine Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra?
It is: new and unlocked when it reaches us, then customised by hand in Dubai. Galaxy AI, 5G, eSIM, the 200MP cameras and Samsung updates work as they always did.
Does it support charging pads or Samsung Wallet?
No. The plated accents on the rear of the Genesis Gold Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra stop the charging field and the NFC signal Samsung Wallet uses, so power comes over USB‑C and payments are made another way.

How do the Premium Anodised designs differ?
