Set a bright chain against a dark, closely patterned surface and both gain by the contrast: that is the argument of the Ledger Link Gold Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra. Every piece begins with a Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra exactly as Samsung ships it, unlocked and unopened. In Dubai the rear glass is exchanged for a panel worked in interlocking hexagons, and a heavy curb-pattern chain, plated at 5–7 microns in Rose Gold, Platinum or 24K Gold, runs the length of its long edge. Nothing else disturbs the field. The lens surround takes the same metal, a small plated GoldPrivé nameplate sits low on the panel, and the hexagons fill everything in between. Noir is the colour photographed, with Crimson Red, Verdant, Rose Fuchsia and Royale Blue available at the same price. The hinge and the frame keep Samsung’s own finish, as on every foldable we build.
Jewellery Outside, Samsung Inside
Closer in, the links read as rounded, weighty and highly polished, while the ground behind them stays fine-grained and quiet; those two surfaces are what the design is about. Both belong to the replacement panel, which marks the boundary of our work. The folding mechanism receives no plating, the frame is untouched, and the inner and cover displays, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy chip, the 200MP camera system and the battery all stay sealed.
The software side is unaffected, so Galaxy AI, 5G, eSIM and Samsung updates land as usual. Metal on the rear does cost two conveniences, because neither the wireless charging field nor the NFC signal for Samsung Wallet can cross it. Ledger Link is charged with its USB‑C cable, and tap-to-pay gives way to a card.

What is replaced, and what is plated?
Samsung’s rear glass gives way to a hexagon-textured panel in your colour. The chain, the nameplate and the lens surround are plated at 5 to 7 microns in the metal you select. Plating is kept away from the hinge and the frame, and the displays and internals are left as they are.
Is the base phone genuine?
Yes. Ledger Link is made from an unlocked Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra in its original state, customised by hand in our Dubai atelier, and Samsung’s updates, Galaxy AI, 5G and eSIM all continue.
Does wireless charging or Samsung Wallet work?
Neither does. Metal across the rear of the Ledger Link Gold Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra blocks the charging field and the NFC signal, so power comes over USB‑C and you pay with a card or a second device.
Can it be engraved?
