Its base is an aluminium Apple Watch Series 12, factory-new, which our Dubai atelier coats by hand in 24K Gold, Rose Gold or Platinum to 5–7 microns and then marries to a bracelet worked in precisely that metal. Of every design in our gold Apple Watch Series 12 collection, Legacy carries the richest surface detail.
Row after row of small, softly rounded hexagons sit staggered against one another, each polished to a mirror, with a hairline of shadow between neighbours. The layout recalls a honeycomb, and from a pace away it reads as a piece of jewellery first and a watch strap second. It appeals to the collector of textured gold, and to anyone marking a milestone with something meant to stay in the family.
Where Our Plating Stops
Plating covers the aluminium case, the Digital Crown and the side button, and each hexagon of the Legacy bracelet is finished in the metal you select, so the watch reads as a single colour from end to end. There our work ends. Display, S11 chip, sensors and battery stay sealed as Apple built them, and the sensor back on the underside keeps its original Apple surface.
Because we leave that back alone, Apple’s magnetic charger docks and charges just as it should, while the heart sensors, temperature sensing, sleep score, workout tracking and each new version of watchOS behave as on an unaltered Series 12. Legacy fastens with a fold-over clasp beneath the wrist, and your GoldPrivé consultant has links taken out before delivery so the honeycomb sits snugly.

What does the plating cover on Legacy?
Three parts of the watch itself, namely the case, Digital Crown and side button, plus every link of the bracelet, all in 5–7 microns of your chosen metal. We never plate the screen or the sensor back.
Is it a real Apple Watch underneath?
Yes, a brand-new Apple Watch Series 12 with an aluminium case. The S11 chip, the electrical and optical heart sensors, blood oxygen and temperature sensing all remain Apple’s, and it pairs with iPhone 11 or later running iOS 27.
How do I charge Legacy?
Just as you would any Series 12. The bare sensor back lets Apple’s magnetic fast-charging cable attach, and Apple says a charge reaches 80% in roughly half an hour.
Can you engrave it?

Which sizes can I order?
Two: the 42mm and the 46mm Series 12 case, both offered in every metal. Links are removed to size the bracelet to your wrist before it ships.

What happens to the warranty and water resistance?
After customisation Apple may consider the watch modified, which can affect the manufacturer warranty, and its 50 m rating is no longer dependable, so do not swim or shower in it. GoldPrivé Care looks after the parts we have customised.
How is Legacy different from Imperial or Radiance?
Legacy has the smallest links of this group, many hexagons packed close. Imperial enlarges the idea into long faceted links, Radiance trades facets for chunky interlocking chevrons, Regent keeps to broad flat links, and Meridian is a fine woven mesh.
