Genesis II Gold Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra: The Measured Middle
Two bars, not one and not four: the Genesis II Gold Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is the setting most clients reach for when they have seen all three. A new, unlocked Galaxy S26 Ultra arrives at the bench with its seals intact, its rear glass is withdrawn, and a dark panel woven with interlocking hexagons takes over the whole back. Across its upper half our metalsmiths lay a pair of polished chevrons, spaced widely enough to read as deliberate. It belongs to the Premium Anodised group in our Galaxy S26 Ultra collection.
Five panel colours are offered here at the same price: Noir, the black in the photographs, then Verdant, Royale Blue, Crimson Red and Rose Fuchsia. The bars themselves, the Armor Aluminum frame, the camera lens rings and the nameplate at the base are worked in 24K Gold, Rose Gold or Platinum at 5 to 7 microns, and those three cost the same as one another.
Everything We Touch Sits on the Outside
Ask what we make and the answer is short: a panel, two bars, a plated frame with buttons, four lens rings and a nameplate. Ask what we leave alone and the list is longer. The 6.9-inch display is untouched, as are the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy processor, the 200MP camera hardware, the S Pen slot and the battery. None of them is reached without opening the phone, and we do not open the phone.
That restraint is why Galaxy AI, 5G, eSIM and every Samsung update land on schedule. It also explains the one trade-off: a plated back is a barrier to the wireless charging field and to the NFC that Samsung Wallet needs at a terminal. Which components are customised?
Only the outside: a purpose-built textured panel in your chosen colour, the two chevron bars mounted on it, the Armor Aluminum frame, the rings around the lenses and the nameplate, all plated at 5 to 7 microns. The interior stays sealed.
Is this a real, unlocked Samsung handset?
Yes. We buy it new and unlocked before a single tool touches it, and the 200MP camera system, the S Pen, Galaxy AI and Samsung’s updates continue to work throughout its life.
Will wireless charging or tap-to-pay still work?
Neither will. The charging field and the NFC signal cannot pass through plated metal, so a Genesis II Gold Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is charged over USB‑C and paid with a card. Our Timeless editions keep Samsung’s glass and both features.

Should I take Genesis II or one of its neighbours?
It depends how much metal you want on show. Genesis is quieter, with one chevron and rails along the sides; Genesis III stacks four bars; Ledger Link swaps bars for a chain, and Sovereign Link does the same on a polished panel. The Premium Anodised category shows them side by side.
